You can learn about folk dance special events, teachers and vendors by clicking on any of the following headings:
If the name of a event, teacher or vendor is underlined, there's a web site you can immediately visit by clicking on that name. A stop at the web site should give you the latest news. Although we checked out each web site when we listed it, we're not responsible for those which contain errors or no longer exist.
We realize it's not possible to keep abreast of all folk dance happenings in the world. So, if you're aware of folk dance special events, teachers or vendors not listed, please tell them about us and visit our Suggesting an Event, Suggesting a Teacher or Suggesting a Vendor page to tell us about them. If you run or are in any way responsible for a special event not listed or listed incorrectly, please visit our Listing a Camp or Week, Listing a Cruise or Tour, Listing a Festival or Workshop or Listing a Weekend page to submit a new listing or correct the current one. If you are a folk dance teacher or vendor, visit our Listing a Teacher or Listing a Vendor page to submit a new listing or correct an existing one. Finally, if you know of a web site presenting information about folk dancing in all or part of the region not listed below or listed incorrectly, please visit our Suggesting a Link page to let us know about it.
We've tried to make all listings as easy and intuitive to use as possible. However, if you're unsure how we've arranged the listings on this page, how we've organized the information in each listing, what's supposed to be included and not included in each listing or anything else, please visit our Using the Listings page for help.
Clicking on Messages will display some useful information. Clicking on Cartoon will treat you to a bit of enjoyable nonsense.
At the bottom of the page, there's a box saying something like 108,243 Visitors Since January 1, 1999. This is our hit counter compliments of Site Meter stating how many people have visited our site since its origin. A click on this box brings you a full page of statistics, including information about our last 1,000 visitors, forecasts of future visits and lots of other interesting facts. In fact, it'll show you exactly what we're doing and how well we're doing it.
We have a search engine compliments of FusionBot. You can use this search engine to search for virtually anything on the Folk Dance Association web site. If you'd like to search for someone or something, just type what you're looking for in the following search box and you'll get your result in a few seconds.
If we're certain of a listing's source, we used a phrase like Mar 28, 1999 or like Feb 15, 2001 at the listing's end to indicate the fact. The phrase Mar 28, 1999 indicates someone associated with the listing on March 29, 1999 sent us all the facts we used in the listing on one of our forms. The phrase Feb 15, 2001 indicates someone associated with the listing on February 15, 2001 spoke with us and verbally presented all the facts we included in the listing. In addition, we were assured we'd be promptly informed about all future changes in the listing and pledged to publish all corrections on the internet promptly. If neither phrase appears in a listing, then we've no idea of the listing's source.
